We are delighted to announce that we will be receiving a grant of $25,000 from the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario, Port Hope Branch, to assist with the steeple repair. Many thanks to Warden Doug Burgess for preparing the presentation for the ACO Board.

In the spring of 2011 it was identified that the steeple structure was in need of urgent repair. The cost of the work will exceed $300,000. Funding this will involve cashing in 1/3 of our investments as well as taking on a loan of $100,000 - $150,000. Clearly this will affect our financial situation. Please keep your weekly giving regular even when you are away.

Thank you to all who have made donations to the steeple fund, including former members and clergy. Between donations and fund raisers, over $50,000 (not including the ACO grant) has been raised.
