St. John’s Anglican Church is pleased to announce that Emmaus Café has received a $1,000 grant from United Way Northumberland through its Northumberland Eats – Feed funding program.
The grant will help support the ongoing work of Emmaus Café, providing food and a welcoming place for people to gather, share a meal, and enjoy the company of others in our community.
United Way Northumberland’s Northumberland Eats – Feed initiative aims to improve access to nutritious food, reduce food insecurity, and strengthen community connections. These goals align closely with the spirit of Emmaus Café, where sharing a meal is about more than food. It is also about hospitality, friendship, and belonging.
The funding will contribute directly to food and program costs, helping Emmaus Café continue to serve our neighbours in Port Hope.
We are grateful to United Way Northumberland for recognizing and supporting the importance of community-based meal programs. Their generosity helps us continue to offer a place where everyone is welcome.
Thank you, United Way Northumberland, for helping us share food, friendship, and community!
